A Bakery Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining industrial food processing equipment used to mass-produce baked goods. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation: Set up, program, start, and monitor production line machinery according to production schedules and recipes. Quality Control: Regularly inspect raw materials, dough consistency, and finished baked products to ensure they meet size, weight, shape, and quality standards. Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify minor mechanical or operational hitcodes, clear jams, perform routine adjustments, and conduct basic preventative maintenance. Safety & Hygiene Compliance: Strictly follow food safety regulations (such as HACCP and GMP guidelines), wear proper PPE, and maintain a clean, sanitary workspace. Documentation: Keep accurate logs of output, waste, downtime, and routine machine checks. Mechanical Aptitude: A strong understanding of how automated machinery works, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical errors and perform basic adjustments. Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in monitoring gauges, baking temperatures, ingredient measurements, and product quality.
